Back in stock at Compgeeks. I received mine yesterday. Installed in a Toshiba 2675DVD in 5 minutes. Works great.

i received my drive too...
buyer beware: Drive is not brand new at all! The anti static bag was torn.

Awesome deal at that price though. If only I had a nice 300-500 Mhz Celeron laptop to put one in 🙂.

it's a hot deal if drive is brand new as they state on the website.
o well, at least it carrys one year warranty, I would say it's a good buy.
they jack up the price, not 109 any more.
Just a reminder: get 10% off by using your MC @ comp geeks.

definitely not new. my antistatic bag was torn. the drive was loosely packed in bubble wrap instead of the expected foam products. works well, though.

has anyone contacted compgeeks to find out why the bags were torn/poorly packed...i've ordered from them in the past & been happy with the products - but i'm thinking about ordering one of these drives and i'm curios what's going on

I ordered a really cheap $20 used 12.5mm drive from them last month and I was surprised it came in a sealed anti-static bag. Hmm...

i sent them an e-mail asking what's the deal with the drives...i remember the pic & description they had up made it look like you were getting a new retail version of the drive
