IBM Thinkpad T42 problems with the network

Hello to all

I have a network with 3 PC and 3 laptops (Compaq, Sony and IBM Thinkpad T42). I have a automatic IP in my network and everything run ok and with no problems. I have a Micronet SP 668 and a router (Speedtoutch 510i) with ADLS internet access.

When i try to connect the IBM i receive allways the message (I can´t find the network) and i can´t see the network name and group of PC´s. But, i can access to the internet and i can make a PING to the others computers and i can access the IBM disk from the others computers. I try to search the others computers from "search" command of the IBM, but i can never find the others computers.

The IBM Thinkpad T42 have a lot of software from IBM and i think, maybe there is a sofwate conflict or a software protection. I allready disable the Firewall of the Service Pack 2, but i can access the network.

Does any one can help me with this problem, because it´s everything ok, but i only can´t access the others computers from the IBM.

try to ping the network but if u cant see the networking under network places. make sure all the computers are one the same Domain, by rightclicking on my computer go to properties computer name and domain.

but see if u can ping the computers also.

Yes, i have the same name on all the computers (MSHOME) except on one laptop (Sony) but this computer can see all the other computers with no problem. All the computers have the IP automatic, but on the IPConfig, i can see all the computers with 10.0.0.xxx.
