IBM Thinkpad T23 not charging

I've got an IBM T23 that refuses to charge a battery. Constantly blinking orange even when plugged in (low battery indicator), and as soon as I unplug from the wall, computer dies immediately.

Tried two different batteries, at least one known to be good, and most likely the other not bad, and still same problem - so this isn't the battery.

Tried a different power supply (meaning external wall - computer plug) and same problem, so it isn't that.

Ideas?

Probably the system board. You can try cleaning the connectors on the lappy with some rubbing alcohol. Unfortunately you already tried two out of the three parts that could be bad
