Hey Does anyone here have or know of someone that has an IBM Thinkpad T21 or T22 and what type of battery life do these things get on average? Thanks :)

those are pentium-3s.. (the ones pentium-m is built on) - so with a new battery, I would say they come pretty close to pentium-ms.. 3-4 hours probably

I had a T20, and the battery life on it sucked. Two to two and a half hours, max. The T21 and T22 are pretty much the same laptop with a faster processor, so I wouldn't expect much.

I have a T21 for 2 yrs and 8 mos now. The battery died compeltely a few month ago. now it's on AC full time. The unit is very solid though, dropped it once to hardwood floor from coffee table, nothing happened. Another problem: it now runs at 650Mhz instead of 800Mhz after battery is taken out. I believe this is a design flaw. I disabled the "intel speedstep" and it's supposed to run at 800Mhz at all times.

I have a Li Ion Battery that lasts about 40 minutes. It has been charged 288 times and is listed as 87% dead. I don't know why these things all die at the magic 300 mark.

hrm. I guess i should stick to an ibook for only about $1000 with my student discount since they are supposed to have extremly good battery battery life aparently 4 - 6 hours depending on usage types.
