A year ago, I had bought this old IBM ThinkPad 760ED It had Windows 95 on it. Well, I had deleted this entire directory of VDX (something like that). Anyway, the laptop didn't work. So I had bought a new used hardrive. It had Windows 98 on it.
Well, before I had ruin my my old hard drive, there is one of those built in modems (dial up) that had a 28K speed. I also even had sound that worked.
When I got my new hard drive, it couldn't detect the modem, nor the sound card. So now I have no modem, and no sound. So how do I which modem is mine on the list that it gives me of modems to install. Also, how do I get the sound to work.
I tried the detect the new hard ware, but it didn't find the modem, nor the sound car.
Can anyone help me to find my modem and sound?
