IBM THINKPAD A21M
Previous user set a BIOS password that we don't know what it is. IBM says they "must replace the system board" in order to fix this. They also told me, at the same time, that removing the CMOS battery will not erase the password and will void my warranty. (to remove the battery is a b*tch...it's buried deep in the laptop).
So I ask you....is there a way to remove the BIOS password without replacing the system board or paying IBM $800 for a new board?
Thanks!!
I'd be amazed anyone even replies to this question....
