I have an older IBM thinkpad t42 with the ATI Radeon 7500 with 32MB installed on it.

I also have the mini docking station. I was thinking of picking up a 28" LCD for my desk, but wasnt sure if the IBM would be up to the task of outputing to the screen.

This is the lcd:

Any way to determine the max the video card can put out?

thanks in advance

My old 8MB S3 video card was able to do 1024*768*32bit. 1920*1200*32bit (resolution of that 28") is approximately 2.93 times larger than 1024*768*32 bit. Assuming memory usage scales linearly, to display that resolution a minimum of 8*2.93 = 23.4MB of video memory would be required.

So in that situation, you might be ok...I guess.
