IBM T41 Custom???

Okay guys I have a stupid question. My school (penn state) has a deal with IBM for edu discounts. Anyway, I was looking online and they have a T41 with the following specs:

1.7 Pentium M
32mb ATI 9000
GB ethernet
Standard batt
No HDD
No RAM
No wireless card
No Optical drive

Anyway... It shows the price of about $1100 (actually a bit under). I was wondering, does/will IBM sell me one of these without configuring it with their stuff. I was thinking about maybe having them add an optical drive (or perhaps the slim bay batt), a wireless a/b/g card, and maybe the high cap batt instead of the normal one. I have an extra copy of XP around, I would prefer to buy my own 7.2k hdd and 1gb (2x512) sticks of ram from crucial and install it myself. Is this possible in your experiences. I believe the machine i was looking at was from the express program, but I couldn't seem to buy it w/o configuring it???

I don't think they actually ship those machines, I tried to get one before, but they said it wasn't really for direct sale to the consumer. Might want to call and ask first if you can actually order it.
