I was digging around the warranty , parts and labour area in the IBM Access and found this interesting note:

Field Replacable Part: Radeon 9000 FireGL 64MB DDR.

Hmmmm..that means if it is replacable, it got to be upgradable in the future since the Mobility series use the flexfit socket. Can anyone confirm this?

The problem with upgrading the graphics card in a laptop is the new card will probably consume more power than the older one, reducing battery life and it may put out more heat which could reduce stability.
