I spent 2 days troubleshoothing this damn problem and I have finally given up. So here i am for help.
I have the t40P with the IBM 802.11a/b card. Mine router is the Dlink 714P+ 802.11B. I use IBM Access to configure my WLAN setting, used the appropriate SSID, and WEP blah blah..i also disabled the WIndows Wirless Configuration service so that it does not conflict with IBM ACCESS CONNECTIONS. Ok so everything connects fine. When I put the laptop to sleep for a while (20 minutes ish) wake it up, it would not connect to my WLAN and even hangs my router. I have to reset the router in order for the laptop to connect. This problem does not happen if i just put the laptop to sleep for like a few minutes. If it is put to sleep for under 5 minutes or so, turn it back on, it will still connect (this symptom also exist if i turn of the laptop completely) . As long as i do not put my laptop to sleep or turn it off, the connection is good, signal strength is excelletn and never drops...but when i put it to sleep or off, it is nightmare!!!

Here is what i did to troubleshoot:
Reformat System,
Installed EVERYTHING ( drivers/software) according to instruction.
Tried both Windows own wireless config and IBM ACCESS connections.
APplies the Latest BIOS from IBM.

The PROBLEM PERSISTS..
Other info: I Tried assigning static IP, same problem

UPDATE: I talked to a technician, he told me that it is roger@home trying to prevent pple from splitting the internet using internet, so when ever it detects a new connection from the router into the cable modem..it sends collision to hang the router..if this is true..how do i correct it?
He also mentioned about using the real IP provided by the ISP as the gateway number in the laptop wireless config...anyone??
IT IS NOT A ROUTER HARDWARE PROBLEM, as i tried 3 different ones.
plz help me here ...before i go despo guys...

I TRIED CALLING DLINK CANADA for tech support but all i get is busy signal..WTF is wrong with their call center? Any canadians called them with success?
