IBM t40 and Dell 2005 LCD

I was wondering if anyone has used the Dell 2005 LCD widescreen LCD with an IBM t40 (or any external widescreen LCD for that matter). The root of the question is if the IBM t40 will support a native resolution of 1680x1050 for an external monitor.

My t40 has the 32mb ATI Raedon 9000 video adapter with driver version 6.14.10.6392.

Does anyone have any direct experience with this resolution on a t4o?

It should do it just fine. I'll see if I can add that resoultion to my laptop with a Radeon 9000 64MB later tonight.

My drivers don't specifically have 1680x1050 as an option, but it should be able to out put that fine with either a modded driver or a application like rivatuner Maybe even the 2005 plugged in it will just add it I'm not real sure. I can get my 2001FP to work fine at 1600x1200 and the wide screen res 1920x1200 with no problems. So it should be possible.
