just bought a used ibm t21, and would really appreciate anyone knowledgable enough to answer a few questions about it.

1) it has a native res of 1400x1050 and im wondering if i could switch it out for a plain old xga(1024x768). or would the machine not accept that?

2)there are five lights next to the power button (hdd in used, etc etc) one of them is a screen with arrows in it, i suppose to adjust the screen size. but how can you access that feature? i tried all the fn keys, no good.

3)lastly, does the "thinkpad" button need drivers? mine doesnt work, but it could be that its broken.

thanks in advance!

2) I think that button is for the FN+F7 combo where you force the ThinkPad to display only external or both externally and LCD or just LCD.

3) Yeah.. You can find info on that at the IBM web site. They pair it with an app that they call "Access IBM" today.... though they still might list the old version as well.

1) Probably not an option.
