like the message title states, what does it do?

I took off the rubber protection thing, and found circuitry like you would find on a cellphone(recharge area).

thanks,
Alex

also, how long should I be expecting a T22 battery to last? right now mine is barely holding a 1hr charge using the wireless pcmcia card. im thinking of purchasing one or a couple from ebay.

On my T21 that rubber cover you're talking about is covering the place where you can connect a webcam. As far as the battery, I'm still on the original one and I'm lucky to get an hour and a half on a full charge.

You can put a camera/webcam thingy, a bluetooth module, a CF reader there. Not sure on how available any of those are anymore. The connector is non-spec USB.
