IBM T20 Laptop memory

I just recieved some memory i bought for my laptop: 256mb Infineon Technologies 144 pin CL2 PC100
but after installing it I'm recieving an error that says Memory Error at offset.

Does anyone know why this is happening? also, What brands of memory would you recommend for me? Thanks.

P.S. I've tried using this memory w/ and w/o the original IBM memory with no luck
 
There are all sorts of reasons why the memory wouldn't be working, ranging from it's not seated properly to incompatibity to you got a bad stick. I would recommend going to crucial.com.
