IBM Surge Protector at Walmart for $6

Hey guys,
I was in Walmart the other day and so a full endcap of these suckers. You can plug up to 8 devices as well as a two line phone jack into it. Most of the plugins have enough space for transformers as well. I do not recall the joule rating on it however. It retailed for $28...

An 8 port surge protector. I belive it had some sort of data guard warranty as well. I'll find out the specifics once I get home.

in NYC i have seen those in ODDJOB, sorta worried that since discounted they might be second run or refurb products... can you post the model number... and btw, the one i saw got the old style dark navy blue package. not the new red @ sign package.

unlike walmart, oddjob is sorta like one of those low-tech odd and ends store thats a step above 99 cents store in NYC... so thats why I was worried, but if the model numbers are the same, at least I can think that they might just be on clearance. thanks

The model is 33L4725. The only info I could find so far on it was at this link here. These surge protectors are on clearance, therefore, may not be available at all walmart locations. Not a bad buy for $6 IMHO

I found a more basic AV surge protector on clearance at my Wal-mart and it rang up for $2. It had about six outlets and a cable filter built in. There were many other models on clearance, too. Good luck.
