I believe their stock price was around $135 per share. Their abacus was top notch back then. ;)

A man who bought 100 shares of IBM stock in 1914 would have paid out $2,750 for his original stock, sp.ent another $3,614 to take advantage of all options. By 1955, he would own 3,893 shares worth $1,492,965.

Around the time of the 4 to 1 split in 1979, 1932 was the closest year with equal per stock pricing.

IBM stock was never cheap when measured in "today's dollars"; however early 1900's were the time to buy it and stick them in a safety deposit box. I am sure there is a ton of the stock out there sitting unforgotten.

Sounds like you're going to have go to the library and break out the microfilm machine. You could probably find the quotes in the Wall Street Journal archives.

Many large US corporations profited from German war machine, even during WW2. Companies like GM, DuPont and many others.

Maybe you should find a differant forum, like one that specializes in investing or stock trading. I know a few exist, just find one.
