I have a ibm 300pl that needs a new power supply. I keep ordering the wrong size. I thought it was Micro atx but the Antec 150 model is to big. Does anyone know what I should get?

It would help if you would supply a picture or a part number for the PSU (should start with 01K or 36L) and the computer as there were desktop and tower designs in the 300PL series. You can find out how to locate the actual part no. of the computer on the IBM web site. IAC, I think there are some used PSUs for sale on eBay for $5. each (buy a handful for backups. Other than that I've seen new ones listed at $60. Always the danger in buying big name-brand confusers - proprietary parts.
. Give me some pictures of it and the dimensions of your PSU in inches and I'll see if there is anything close in generics.

ewww custom PSUs...I bought a wonderful Compaq Professional Workstation (200mhz Pentium Pro, probably my most favoritest machine ever lol) for $80 off CompGeeks.com a couple years ago. Anyway, the CPU only had a heatsink...the only thing makin' noise was the PSU, and I was using it was a server at that time (in my room), so I figured I'd replace the PSU with a new, quieter one.

Except the motherboard connectors were all different.

Blast! I ended up ordering a 92mm Stealth fan with a custom connector from Directron and replacing the PSU's fan...why? Because a new PSU for that specific machine cost $150! Thank goodness for standardization in modern machines, I say :)

ps - don't replace a PSU fan unless you know what you're doing ;)
