$49.99 IBM WebCam at OfficeMax.com (ITEM # 14253504, MODEL 33L4889)
x 2 (to get over $100)

- 28.08 (pricematch w/ Outpost.com) ITEM # 76702
-$40 ($20 MIR per camera)
-$25 coupon
+ Tax (!$%&#$)

= $5 each (roughly)

Coupon available at geoc**pon
-$50.05 Pricematch w/ Staples ($39.98) ITEM # 396938

Requires a little work. MIR requires separate names and registrations on spotlife.com. Also have to email customer service after purchase to get pricematch (Go to customer service, email, pricematch).

Still waiting to hear from customer service to make sure pricematch won't lose the coupon. Otherwise, buy 3 cameras.

Wow! What ever happened to the good olde days when we could get these things free after rebate, without having to risk / invest hundreds of dollars...

Better yet, pricematch with outpost.com who have it for $35.99, Total comes out to $5.99 per camera + tax. The problem is I'm not sure they let you price match below $250 and then apply a coupon that is for purchases above $250. Also outpost has free shipping so they cant charge any extra for that.

Here's the link at outpost. http://www.outpost.com/entry?sku=76702

Looks like this rebate is specific to office max only, yet outpost advertises it as well. Anyone have more info?

What rebate is Outpost.com referring to? Are they saying you can get $20 rebate through spotlife.com as well?

For me, this is far too much work. I just bought the IBM PC Camera Pro (which is MUCH better than the standard PC camera... it has true 640x480 resolution, and uses a CCD in lieu of the lower quality CMOS sensor). It was $65 at C4Sure, bought $10 more stuff (blank CDs) to get free shipping from Brandsforless, plus used a $10 off $50 ECS rebate (which I think is expired), then there is a $50 rebate on the camera (which expired on 12-31). $5 end cost, better camera, and less work. Guess maybe I should have posted it then (sorry).

Avoid this camera like the plague. I bought two when Compusa had b1g1 and pricematched it to OM and got them both free after rebate but it still wasn't worth it (still haven't gotten my rebates for them). They had the most horrible resolution, no framerate quality at all. One moment my hand was on the left the next moment my hand was on the right and I moved it slowly. Not to mention the camera cause my computer to crash a few times (probably problems with the camera and the software in tandem).

Worst webcam I have ever used. IBM should be ashamed to have their name on the box of such a lackluster product. I'm talking super choppy frames and poor image quality. The CreativeLabs Webcam II that I bought years ago is WAY better. Even for $0, I wouldn't bother with this piece of junk.

This is on a computer system running a celery 850, with 256MB ram, 32MB geforce card, raid 0 drives, T1 connection. I really don't think it's my computer that can't keep up with the webcam...

I'm not sure which model those of you who gave it bad reviews have, but I think the pro model is actually very good. At first I was very dissapointed at the picture quality, but learned that (for some reason) setting it on my speaker gave me bad interference. The pro model has gotten very good reviews, but the "standard" model has gotten very poor reviews.
