I was browsing around my local MicroCenter. They have the IBM PC Camera Pro for $79.95 - $15.00 instant Microcenter rebate - $50 mail-in-rebate from Xirlink = $14.95 net.

This must be an instore purchase.
I must say, however, that this camera may not be one of the better performing web cameras. It uses the CIF sensoring technology rather than CCD, which is usually found in the better webcameras.

In their mail catalog which advertises this IBM camera, it says "CCD Sensor". Right inside the cover, page 2. Kinda misleading of them ?
 
Xirlink is full of **** with that rebate.

I bought this camera in October, and after 4 phone calls I'm still waiting for a check.

They're thieves.
 
Yet another reason why I try to avoid rebates like the plague. Of course, I did get my Linksys DLS router $20 rebate this week...
 
Also, it's the absolute worst camera I ever tested with NetMeeting...and I've used quite a few webcams over the last four years. It's almost worth a price of "free", but even then you won't like it.
