We should start the official Buy.com DOTD club, nah that's too geekish. I think this thread deserves the next level, HOT HOT HOT what do you guys/gals think?

The IBM P72 was rated #1 by PCWorld.com back in August 1999, also look at the MSRP price of $459!

This monitor garnered a 7 out of 10 CNET.com rating, 83% thumps UP, 17% thumbs DOWN.

PC Magazine says, "The P72 performed well under Photoshop on most photo-image tests, exhibiting excellent color and shading ..."

Epinions.com lists this monitor but only lists the three above professional reviews, no "real people" reviews, bummer.

Makes me wonder how this monitor compares with the refurbished Dell 17" monitor for $125 also available from Buy.com?

and the SONY e200 costs $326.95 at Buy.com before coupons. No contest I'd choose the IBM over the SONY.

This is a great deal for a monitor. I mean, a Trini for so cheap! I already ordered mine. There was a time when you couldn't buy a 15" Trini for this price! Hooray for DOTDs!! BOO for being unable to buy all of them! The ugly credit card monster rears it's head again! It wants fresh sales and bargains galore!

I went to buy one of these and it showed out of stock when I went to checkout. Good for me!! I did not need this but was only going to get one because it is such a great deal. Saved me some money.

Is there any way to find out when these will be back in stock?? I'd really like to buy one or two at this price.

Edit: Never mind, this was a DOTD *doh*. Shoulda read you post, and the actual page more carefully.

Thanks for the find. Ordered one around 2am. This will be the last deal i'll order this month. Spent $500 this week on 30Gig drive, 256MB ram, and now a monitor for my dad... urgg.. wish i didn't get the 30G and got another monitor instead, 2 17" for dual screen would be really nice. Lowest price i've seen for any trinitron.

"This will be the last deal i'll order this month." We've heard that before, haven't we?
