IBM P260 DVI-A

I figured out this monitor uses DVI-A which is dead, my question is would hooking it up via DVI make any difference over VGA? I have an X800 which probably won't even do DVI-A though. don't really wanna drop the cash on a DVI-A cable if it'll end up being a waste of time

The P260's input looks like a DVI-A or DVI-I cable will fit. It only uses the analog lines of the cable. All videocards support DVI-A. If you already have a DVI-I cable, it will work. They're inexpensive.

The quality won't be any differant than VGA. It's just convenient to have two inputs for a console or a 2nd PC.

hummm my DVI cable doesn't work when I plug it in, and it worked on my LCD so I know the cable is good. I hooked up the VGA to the DVI with the converter that came with it and it works fine, weird. If the quality will be the same I'm not going to worry about it, thanks for the reply.
