Taken from GotApex. Did a quick search and found no posts on this yet. tkim made a post on the same monitor he got from uBid for $460 new. However, we all know about uBid. This is brand spankin' NEW!! IBM P260 21" FD Trinitron CRT .24mm dot pitch for $649.00!! Cheapest anywhere is just over $1000!!! However, the shipping on this 70 lb behemoth is $73.

For those that hate the tyranny of those damn lines, the New hitachi is a fine alternative. Ummm... do a search for hitachi....$639, you'll find it

Well, I don't know if they're refurbs or not.
But if you look at their site and do a search for the p260 they also have the black model for ~$1000. That one definitely says
3 yr warranty. The one for 649 says something else, if I remember
something to the effect of "3yr base"?

I saw this sometime last week but didn't jump on it because the warranty was somewhat suspicious.

I have been using this for a week now. Got it from Ubid for $459 + 93 shipping. Pretty good monitor. It's HUGE!!!!..but I have a problem with 1600x1200. The portions of the words would not be focus. It's not that bad, but I just want my monitor to be "perfect", so I am trying to get an exchange from Ubid...god help me :)..

For those that asked, this baby is BRAND NEW; as pointed out in the original post and reiterated by RossMAN.

Under warranty it states:
Manufacturer's warranty

Which should mean it's from IBM. If so, IBM's warranty policy is:
http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/accessories/monitors/p_series_tour/index.html
"Choose with confidence: IBM is at your service with a comprehensive 3-year limited warranty plus our exclusive 48-hour "Advance Exchange" replacement policy."

Staples carries this guy for $1,205.99. Can you pricematch with this place or CompuAmerica who has it for $649? Some free shipping and additional coupon usage would also be excellent. I really need another monitor and this sounds like a goody.

Good luck getting staples to pricematch. They will do anything and everything to not pricematch and take a $600 loss.

Look at the micro warehouse description ... "...and spreasheets. Plus, its twin video inputs enable you to connect two PCs at the same time!". I don't know if it really is.. but if it's not we can sue them for product misrepresentation :p
Anyway, had really good experience with IBM monitors... got my P202 last year, it has discoloration in the screen (Switching colors in screen), called them and a new one arrived in my doorstep in 2 Days, and they picked up my old one! :D
