A bit less of a clicky-key feel, but it has character. I don't know how long I'll be able to use it for, it does seem a bit more uncomfortable than my old, thrashed Microsoft keyboard.
I'd also grown used to the windows key. Those were becoming useful.

Your keyboard isnt "Old school IBM" unless you've got PF1-PF22 keys, no CTRL key with an ENTER key next to ALT.
It may be better than the Lexmark Model M's, but there's no way it's better than the genuine IBM Model M parts.Originally posted by: EyeMWing

Uh huh.
Let me ask you this.....
IBM Model M keyboard - What is it compatible with?
A TN3270 terminal on an MVS/OS390 system has the coolest keyboard is all I'm saying....
I'm pretty sure OS/390 is IBM old school![]()

Model M is an early PS/2 ("AT") keyboard. Essentially the oldest thing you can still use on a modern machine. These Tandy Enhanced KB's are harder to come by, though, since they only came with certain Tandy 1000's.
Horray, you're childish. Congrats!Originally posted by: DMT
IBM Model M - Early PS/2.
IBM MVS-S/39X - Dates to 1964.
I win.
Except that the thread wasn't about being more or less "old school" IBM, but rather about his keyboard rivaling the perfection that is the Model M.Originally posted by: DMT
Hey, he started it! I'm just saying that I'm more old school IBM than him. Hell I've got 9 track tapes!
