IBM / Lenovo Business practices HORRIBLE

Ill keep it real short. I have an IBM T30 with a problem where it only detects one installed mem module at a time. Google search found that this was a problem in manufacturing of the motherboard, IBM issued a service bulletin, and they had been replacing the mobo even if Out of Warranty.

My thinkpad went out of warranty in April 2006, but I didnt know about this problem until I tried to upgrade the ram this weekend.

Called IBM support, they said, "Sorry we are no longer fixing that problem anymore"

Have to wait until tomorrow morning to speak to a manager/supervisor.

END OF RANT!

Good luck. I know a School IT manager who had over 30 PIII machines that were issued with a TSB regarding bulging capacitors that he found out about a day after the TSB period ended.

No amount of negotiating worked, not even the "I was planning to buy the...". Again, Good luck.

My Belkin router had a recall but I just found out about it. Belkin no longer is supporting that router and will not fix it.
