IBM Joystick Problems...

I have some problems with an IBM joystick that my grandpa gave me from his old computer. I just cannot find a way to get all of the buttons working under windows 2000. The joystick has4 buttons, 3 throttles, 2 switches and a POV hat. Any sugestions?
