Okay, so I have a 2373 T42. Its about 2 months old and its a sweet computer. I don't really let it run off of the battery, but somehow my battery life is trashed. It will only charge up to 96% and even then, I don't really maximize my battery (only lasts for sub 2 hours). I had heard of revamping my battery. It is sad that I already have to do this to a laptop battery that is pretty much brand new. Anyone have some good suggestions of preserving batterylife and getting my battery revamped.

Secondly, I only have 40 gigs. Now, most ppl would say thats decent, but I want like a 100 gig harddrive. I noticed seagate has 100gig hd coming out pretty soon, anyone know of a good drive that is like 75+ gigs and can anyone recommend stuff? Thanks for all your help!

Call, use your warranty and get a replacement battery. IBM Service > *

No idea about the drive but if I were you, I'd get a 200-250 GB External USB 2.0 Drive.

Seagate has a 100GB 7200RPM 8MB Cache available @ BBY for $199.99 :D
If you "don't really let it run off the battery," then that might explain why you're having trouble. If you leave it plugged in a lot, the system is probly generating a good bit of heat around that battery and that can really kill your batt. Search for the battery life thread on here (might be archived), that has a lot of great info on it.
