Hello
I have encountered a problem with installing an IBM Deskstar 75GXP 20GB hard drive on to K7T Pro 2-A motherboard. Hard drive detected fine, first part of Win2K installation passed fine but second failed with a blue screen saying ?Hardware Failure?. Hard drive fitness test by IBM passed fine. So I have no clue what the problem is? I have another hard drive that works fine.

The system is:
K7T PRO 2-A
Duron 750
128MB RAM Mushkin PC133 SDRAM
Stealth III S540 Xtreme AGP
NetGear Network Card
HP CD-ReWriter Drive
Floppy Drive
On bouard audio
BIOS flashed to 2.4

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Max

Try using FDISK, delete the active partition, create a new one, then let win2k setup format it for you. Just a guess. Good luck.
