Any one have any hands on experience with the IBM C220p?

I had the IBM P275, which is one generation before the C220p.
It's a great monitor.
The text quality is very bad if you have the contrast/brightness cranked up though, but I think that's a common problem with all aperture grills.
Also the monitor gets progressively more blurry when you use a high refresh rate.
The convergence is much better than most aperture grills I've used.

The qualities that virtualgames mentioned for the p275 apply as well to the c220p (I have had it about two weeks now). It took some setting up, but things seem ok now. I am running desktop resolution of 1152 x 864 @100Hz, which seems to be the sweet spot for me. 16 x 12 was too blurry (text-wise) at comfortable refresh rates (>/= 85), and all though text is crisper at 1024 x 768, it is simply too large for my taste.

I used 2048x1536@75Hz on mine, with a brightness and contrast settting of 45/100 respectively
The text and horizontal lines were a bit blurry at that setting, but it was a tradeoff for having the vibrance.

I had a few refurb ones before I got the brand new P275. The new one is MUCH higher quality than the refurbs.
The refurbs, had poor convergence, was much blurrier at high contrast settings, and the blurriness was inconsistent across the screen(one side would be blurry, and the otherside would be sharp)

I'm guessing you used 100Hz at 1600x1200. If you use 75Hz, it should be razor sharp at that resolution.
I personally don't see flicker above 75Hz, so it's acceptable for me.

Hm. Different opinions from the review I read, but I would put more stock in
user opinions then a review.

It's a wonder I ever bought this Nokia I have now. I feel like I could be
"researching" monitors for a long time.
