There is a class action lawsuit filed in California in October 2001 against IBM in connection with alleged reliability problems involving the Deskstar 75GXP series of hard disk drives.
Looks like IBM is finally going to have to justify thier claims that the 75GXP drive is superior and reliable. The 75GXP drives have had problems. I've had 4 fail in 2 years and another develop bad sectors after less than a year.
