IBM 7200 RPM ATA 100 sandra benchmarks

I was able to post a score of 18632, isn't this quite low? the scores should be in the 24000's should it??

I'm using the Asus A7M266 motherboard, with an Athlon 1.4ghz. Yes I am using the ATA100 cables. I've also heard that using ATA100 cards, (promise ata100 cards) is actually faster than the onboard ones, is this true??

I'm also using HDtach, and the results of the benchmark, is that the lines are very sporatic, is this b/c i have it partitioned into 2 separate drives???
