IBM 60GXP vs Western Digital sustained transfer rate

I haven't bought a new hard drive in a while and was wondering if anyone had opinions or benchmarks on EIDE hard drives. I've always liked Western Digital, but a couple of buyer guides I've read recommended the IBM 60GXP. The WD claims to have a 100MB/s transfer rate, but I'm assuming that is the burst speed. The IBM claims to have a 40MB/s sustained transfer rate, and that doesn't sound too shabby. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
