IBILL beware

While trying to renew my subscription, my credit card info was hijacked. IBILL may be aware of the problem as they refunded the charges or so they said. I'll know for sure when next months VISA bill arrives. Just a heads up for all the subscribers out there whose time is running out. I have emailed suscriber accounts about it several times. They responded once to ask what the reference numbers were but will not answer further correspondence. I do value my subscription, or at least I did, but it's not worth risking my VISA balance for. Good old snail mail is looking better all the time. Buyer beware!

P.S. I would still renew in a heartbeat if AT accepted money orders.
P.S.#2 That is if they don't boot me for this post.

try going to your visa banks site and see if you can view your account . then you'll (hopefully) know. i setup a second account with it's own card and NO overdraft allowed for online stuff. that way stolen card number not too bad.
good luck

How do you know it was "hijacked"? How do you know it was "hijacked" from iBill? Why would you get banned for posting this?

It was comprimised during an IBILL transaction. Not necessarilly from IBILL. I have only made or attempted to make one online credit card transaction in the last year. This was my renewal in early December. Charges to porn sites started coming in shortly after my renewal attempt. Absolutely no one else has access to the card. I never stated it was hijacked from IBILL. Just sometime and somehow during the process. If they indeed refund the charges there is no real harm done. The card has been deactivated and my faith is shaken in regards to online credit card transactions, no big deal. But how do you suggest I subscribe now?

If you attempt another online transaction, make sure there is an ssl connection and that the certificate is valid and whatnot. Credit card numbers are easy to get online, but even easier to get offline. No clue about the subscription, I wish there was another option too.
