One of these days people who really don’t understand social media will stop trying to use social media to get their points across. Until that time comes, we’ll go right on being entertained by thoroughly ill-conceived online marketing campaigns like the one that former Romney flack Vinny Minchillo created in an effort to humanize Republicans.

Coinciding with the release of the video is #IAmARepublican, a Twitter hashtag presumably meant to give all those Prius-driving Republicans a place to let their freak flags fly. Needless to say it functioned as it was supposed to for all of maybe 48 hours before being hijacked and turned into one big flying snark bomb.

Behold, and let this serve as a lesson:

No. What we have is an outreach from the GOP toward minorities, woman and those unsure of the party that was headed by a former Romney staffer.

An outreach that used photos of people proclaiming they were Republican that turned out to be a lazy use of stock photos that have nothing to do with being Republican. So, if you want to be mad - be mad at your party for being so moronic and simplistic.

I would not call them either A or B.

Their alamism & sensationalism:
1) saved humanity (when we lived in the wild,... Look at tiger - run!!!)
2) provides LOADS of entertainment currently
3) should be toned down,..
4) ,... on it's way out

Let them be frankly - just like we don't want to harm people with Downs Syndrome, we should not want to harm people with defective alarmist thinking - it is the way they are built (evolution in their case!), no need to punish them.

Now, they DO want to punish us (because we a threats), but, again, they are getting theirs - prison time, pushed out, etc.
