is it the 512mb or 256mb version? It doesn't matter actually, an oc'ed x1900xt won't draw more than 130w I'm guessing. You should be set, unless the caps give out on that fortron, but it most likely won't be due to load, or anytime soon for that matter. It's just that the "ax" series fsp psus are of lesser quality.

What program did you use for overclocking the X1900XT? I tried ATITOOL, but it didnt show ANY clock for stock clock. And ATi's overclocking tool only gives me a default of 621 on core. Won't go any higher.

On the PSU issue (alot of them here lately), I personally dont like Fortron Source. Check out my reason why here. Go with something a bit more powerful OCZ, PCP&C, Seasonic or the one in my sig for sale (yes I'm pimping it all over :p ). Just for peace of mind , get something better bro, I don't want to see you go through what I did.

Good luck :)

But he already has the psu. It would not really make sense to get something else when there is a good chance it will work flawlessly... anyway, you got a pcp&c instead of the neohe? that's a big price jump.

As for the Fortron, well it worked "Flawlessly" for about 6 months and then sh!t the bed. Sure, he may have that PSU and it work fine for a long time. But you can see where my bias is and why.

It was about $80 more after shipping. The way I figure it is, I won't have to deal with issues like (Antec & Asus) and I wanted security. Thats really what I payed for in the end. After getting my system hosed, $80 is chump change to ensure long life and stability.

I bought this one.

Well, I use rage 3d to overclock my card which intergrates it self in ati control center. I think fortron is a very good budget psu brand, they build great and quality psu's. But thanks for the replys. When I was in the middle of overclocking I heard this noise (high pitched but not really noticable) and it sounded like from the psu but after the overclock settled the sound went away.

now you're getting me nervous, I have this one (an ATX series), is this one also problematic? If my PC dies I won't be able to afford another one for a while. I have a UPS if that helps.
