I got an Asus P3C-L with regular 256MB Samsung PC800 RDRAM. I want to know, when the new RDAM comes out is it going to be compatible with it?? Is the new RDRAM like the old one? (pin count wise, and same socket??) I know the P3 would probably not use the bandwidth. WEll thanks for looking.

Like you mentioned earlier, the P3 won't take advantage of the bandwidth, but yes, PC1066 (provided you can find any) could work with your i820.

It depends if your BIOS will allow you to see the proper memory/FSB speed combination, but other than that, PC800 is pin compatible with PC1066 (and they also run at the same voltage, I believe).

The P3C series of boards will work fine with a regular 16-bit RIMM, at PC1066.

These boards are NOT compatible with 32-bit RIMMs.
