i7 and Triple Channel, 3 DIMM only?

When I was reading the manual of my evga X58 SLI board, it only specified 3 banks for triple channel install. For 5+ more banks it doesn't say if it's either dual or triple channel. Do I still get triple channel if I install 2 sets of memory that will populate all 6 DIMM?
