I'm building a new machine and came across this power supply calculator.

http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

From that information, I bought a Corsair 450w power supply (33A on 12V rail). To run the following rig.

i7 930
Asus P6T SE
12 GB Corsair DDR3 1600
DVD-RW
2 Hard Drives
Radeon 4770 (or Nvidia 9800GT)

I have no intention of overclocking. I'll mostly be doing motion graphics and video editing. Perhaps the occasional game.

System would blue-screen and reboot when playing a game, or rarely when playing video. Sent the video card back suspecting that it was the culprit. Tested the memory with memtest 86+, no errors.

Is it possible that I have under-powered this system?

What's the bccode for the blue screen? Usually it can tell whether it might hardware or software related. A Corsair 450W should be good enough for this system.
