hi everyone.
first off all i want to sorry for my english. (i am from georgia.)
so i am interesting with these cpus.
i bought some hours ago W3690 on ebay.
and want to know some difference:
i know that 990X has unlocked multiplier.and X5690 can be used on with 2 socket boards. (difference from W3690)
how about X5690 and W3690.? is it unlocked? searching find that 3690 has unlock multiplier.and cant find nothing about 5690.
has someone X5690 or W3690? i am interesting with firestrkie physics score on stock.

thx for answer.

i don't know how passmark is tested cpu.
for example if i have different systems, and same cpu , CPU score will be same or not??
in firestrike cpu score is always same (not depending on system conf.)

and how about unlocked multipliers. is it true that W3690 has unlocked multiplier?
or it is "locked"?

Yes, the W3690 is unlocked, same with the W3680. Great chips. Your uncore can make a difference so if you are looking for direct comparisons keep it the same. Same goes for the QPI Link speed and memory and timings.
