Well, my 1366 mounting bracket came in yesterday for my TRUE, so I got to work. After I got my box back together, with some fiddling, it seems I can get 3.6 GHz rock solid stable for at least an hour of Prime95 (didn't have time for a full night, as I was trying to find my upper limit).
Problem is, I just can't seem to get my system stable at anything above 3.8 GHz. All reports I've been reading have spoken of super easy 3.9 and above. "Just put BCLK at 200 and let her rip!" is the vibe I'm getting. However, there could be another issue. What exactly is a SAFE voltage and temperature for the i7s?
I get many conflicting reports around the internet. For the VCORE, some say 1.3625, some say 1.55, and others say to go nuts. For the UNCORE, I have not seen any recommendations. I have yet to find consistent temperature ranges too. What load temperatures before I should get worried about 24/7 stability? I see the max TJunction at 100C, but I'm sure the safe operating temperatures should be much lower than that.
Currently, I am running 3.6 GHz @ 1.3V, with the Uncore also at 1.3V. Will I be able to push these voltages safely higher? My load temperatures can break 75C, even with the TRUE.
