Ok after alot of reading and messing around i have got my i7920 running at 3.0gig but i had to downclock my memory to 800mhz with DRAM Frequency of 435mhz which is right under the max of 457. My Ram running at 1066mhz with a DRAM Frequency of 533 which is right at max I can overclock my i7 to 2.9 with my RAM running at 1066mhz . OK this is where it get weird when i set my RAM to 1333 with a Core clock of 2.8 the DRAM Frequency
is way above the max Frequency of 610 it runs at 668 which when i saw i almost died thinking my RAM was going to FRY any second but it didnt. I didnt want to test it so surfed the web for a sec then clock it back down. One why is it able to run way above the the max Frequency, when i set it to 1066mhz and try to overclock i can get a stable 3.0 i can get a stable 2.9 at 1066 second is it worth it having my i7 running at 3.0 if my ram only runs at 800mhz. Second if my RAM will run at 1333 with a coreclock of 2.8 is that better than the other settings and will my ram FRY out running that high of a Frequency. Third or should i just stick with a 2.9stable at 1066mh.

Any ideas,Comments,Having the same problem?,plz Post thanks

I am including a pic but it's kinda of low quility sorry. You may have to zoom in on different parts to see clear it's the best i could do. The pics are desktop screenshots with four CPUZ windows open showing settings save image and open it to see clear Realy Sorry I know it a pain.

Your modules won't "fry" just because of speed, if they're not stable at all, you can't even boot to Windows. Stress test you modules and see if they're stable or not. If you have timings set to Auto, maybe your board adjusted the timings to comply with the 1333Mhz spec and it's stable as a result. CPU speed is obviously more important than RAM. I start OC from figuring the limits of my memory sticks. After that it's out of the way and you can just take your CPU clocks as high as possible and adjust memory frequencies after that.
