I am planning on buying a i7 920
and a gigabyte UD4P and 2 sets of 6GB
which are cheap and that i can oc the i7 to a stable 3.2 for 24/7?

is there any problem with going with ones with a heat spreader?
 
I'd probably go with either the OCZ or Patriot that runs at 7-7-7. The OCZ gold and a few others looks like they run at 9-9-9, so it will be a little slower, although not noticable in real life. But since the 7-7-7 and 9-9-9 are about the same cost, I'd go with the 7-7-7.

I've got 12Gig of the OCZ 1600Mhz 7-7-7 RAM, it runs fine for me. But pretty much all memory companies use the same chips on their DIMM's, so go with what you find cheapest.

Yea but the Gskills have a lower voltage, and thus will be better for an OC regarding stability.
 
I'd go for heatspreaders, they aren't as necessary with DDR3 but they can help protect your chips for long term use, plus they look cool.

First time I saw heatspreaders, I was in awe. This statement is probably the best selling point to get the heatspreaders.
 
If stability is top of your list then you should pay attention to voltage more than anything, IMO. JEDEC spec for DDR3 is 1.5V.
