Is anyone able to get their chip to 4ghz without disabling HT? Ive finally able to do it but I had to disable HT to get it stable. Im thinking that since I ended up disabling HT anyways I might of as well got the i5 instead =(

Im only able to get it to 4 Ghz with 1.368V and 1.3VTT.. Load temps hitting 80.

Im using 21x and 191 blck, does it matter if I have a higher blck and a lower multiplier?

I did hit 4ghz with HT but it required too voltage for my liking (1.41 or a bit higher,) and the sweetspot of my 860 was 3.7ghz so I'm staying there with HT on.

If you want 4ghz with HT, you really need Megahalems due to the increased heat.
Also, higher blck needs higher VTT.

3.7ghz (19x195 at 1.312v) seems to be the sweet spot for my 860 as well. I tried to get to get 3.8ghz at 3.3v but it failed Prime 5 minutes in. That big a voltage jump for 100mhz is telling me that the CPU is about maxed out and it'll take exponential voltage increases for small mhz increases.

Try running at 21x multiplier (and 22x if your board supports it) to see if you get any different results.
Most people are running i7 860 with 20x/21x/22x multipliers.
Running at 19x just seems a little odd.

Also, what coolers are you guys using?

Megahalem with a push pull setup. I am able to start running Linx with 4ghz and HT only when I up the volt to 1.375, which also jumps up my temperatures to 95 load which is way too hot for my liking.

I spent this morning testing out different multipliers at 3.9ghz. 20x195 and 21x186 still both took over 3.65v to be LinX stable and were in the high 80s during load. I'm using a Rev A TRUE with a single Scythe F fan pushing.

The .5v bump from 3.7-3.75ghz to 3.9ghz is just not worth it for my chip. It's a bit of a dud chip I suspect, but 3.7 is fine enough for me.
