I am getting 4770k for 268 bux and 4820k for 265 bux. Which one should I go for?

Rest of the configuration:

Please recommend power supply I should go for?

The 4820k is the E series. It uses a different motherboard than the 4770k. I would go with the 4770k because of the cheaper mobo. Or if you can get it for the same price go for the 4790k. It is clocked quite a bit faster stock than the 4770k and runs a bit cooler with a couple hundred mhz likely extra overclocking headroom.

We need to know what you are going to be using your PC for. That said if it is just "gaming and general use" then stick with the 4770K.

The 4770k is better for gaming than the 4820k but the 4820k runs cooler though. You might as well go with the 4790k since the 4770k is priced the same and it's faster than the 4770k and it suppose to run cooler than the 4770k based on what I read, and Z97 motherboards are way cheaper than X79 motherboard. I see no point in going for an X79 motherboard if you are going to get a quad core CPU. I saw a benchmark on X-Plane 10, and it shows 20.9 fps on the 4960x and 30.9 fps on the 4790k, but the difference not that much in other gaming benchmarks I saw. Here is the link to that benchmark: http://www.hardware.fr/articles/924-16/jeux-3d-x-plane-10-f1-2013.html

Also as far as I know socket 2011 is about to be replaced by an incompatible DDR-4 supporting chipset. Plus unless you plan on doing 3x/4x SLI there's very little performance advantage to X79 anyway.

Another vote for 4770k or 4790k.

It's already happened - you're thinking of Haswell-E and X99.

OP, if you already have the mobo then the 4770k is your only choice. Unless you return it.

Shite! So the 4820k is not compatible with vi gene mobo? My best offer was accepted by the seller. Looks like I am in soup now. Let me write to the seller and try to cancel the transaction.

Well, the seller turned to be a gem of a guy. He agreed to refund fully without a fuss.

Shout-out to c-bass82(eBay user) for being so awesome. If you are a member here and reading this, I'd like to thank you here too.

No sir.
It's the 4-core version for 2011 socket.

I hope you can. It wasn't a good choice either way. 4820K < 4770K << 4790K. I know that it has a higher number, but it's a bit misleading.
