i7 4700MQ vs i5 4570 for gaming?

Which is better for gaming?


And which is better for general work performance.



Apparently the i7 4700MQ is slight better than the i5 4570 based on CPU benchmark score.
 
4570 can run 4 cores at 3.2 GHz, while HT does nearly nothing for quad core parts in gaming, and also has a higher max turbo. so, it's almost certainly faster in any gaming situation.

problem is the MQ part comes with a mobile graphics card that can't touch high end desktop parts.
 
The mobile i7's can easily maintain their max turbo provided there is sufficient cooling. They are quite pricey though. With hyper threading, it can beat desktop i5's with the right program.

My 3720qm is my bottleneck in my favorite games because it tops at 3.4GHz on 4 cores. The 650m is the bottleneck in most games though.
