As the thread title says, I play Project Cars and it is considered cpu intensive. I am looking to upgrade my gpu from sli 680's to something more powerful in a single card, (likely a 980ti), will my processor perform good with a gpu upgrade?

Dude are you serious?? You've got a kick ass CPU,so your are set for a good 3-5 years specially if you overclock that sucker to anything above 4.0GHz.If you want better gaming frame rates then upgrade your GPU to something better and maybe add some more ram to your system. Damn I sure wish I had your cpu Mr. money bags.. LOL 😉
 
Yea there is not even much to upgrade to. Six core haswell E could be 10 to 15 % faster max, depending on overclock. Only other upgrade would be 8 core haswell E for 1000.00.
