Then he lived in a camper with no room for 5 rigs so 3 when into storage and now none of those extra 3 are working correctly.
OMG, I can totally relate to that. I lost $300 on an HP desktop I bought used that was stored at a friend's acquaintance's home in a different city. The understanding was that the acquaintance would send the PC to my friend through someone going to his home country but never did due to various reasons including COVID-19 related flight disruptions. I received it back after a year and there were spider webs in it! Cleaned it up with a 3M vacuum and tried turning it on, but the fans just spun and no display came. It wasn't a total loss thank God though. The PC included the P106-100 mining card so now my friend is using that with a hacked driver to play Shadow of Tomb Raider with his new i5-12400.
I think something goes wrong with motherboard components due to humidity and dust when in storage. They don't seem to be making them that good these days.
