Hello!

Here's some questions about my oc on i5. It's about voltages, but i think it's okay, but i'm not 100% sure.

Here's my spec:

cpu: 180x20
qpi link speed: 180x32
Memory: 180x8

eist,turbo,c1e disabled

Voltages:

Load line enable

vcore = 1.200v
qpi/vtt = 1.150v
pch = 1.120v
pll = 1.80
dram v = 1.560v

my question is, does my voltages look ok?

Thanks for reply :)

I new about the pch.do you think i'm ok with 1.10v on pch?
but really i dont care if its a little high.
only load oc to bios when gaming :) or else @ stock.

Like your cpu cooler, but it's very,very......big? :)

Well your voltages look ok....Why did you play with the pch votage anyways? I don't have to even touch that one unless I wanna go above 4ghz.

PCH voltage is for the Southbridge.

I'd suggest based on your mild overclocking goal to go back to the drawing board and enable speedstep and C1E. Once you get your overclock stable the chip will do the natural thing and downclock and downvolt when you don't have a load on the cores. Maybe just enable the turbo mode to get the 21x multiplier while your at it. The only turbo that could give you problems would be the 24x 1-2 core load.

My chip will do 4.2ghz stable and still throttle down without any issues at all.

i set the pch v down to 1.05v. now i'll run for stabillity and maybe lower the vcore :)

Thanks to you who have helped a noob like me ;-)

oc'ing for my first time here, so it's good with some advice:eek:

You can take that CPU up to 1.35-1.4V safely and probably get the FSB up to 200+. IIRC mine is at 1.35 11x200 ATM. I have had it up to 4.40ghz at one point but temps limited me.
