VGA ASUS|HD7870-DC2-2GD5 1G R 1 259.99
PSU CORSAIR| HX750 750W RT

I got my case today Corsair 500r and I'm getting rest of part tomorrow. I wanted to make sure it's all good to go tomorrow when I build it. But I have few questions, I was being told I need to get better heatsink. Or will it be okay with i5 3570 stock cooler. I'm not planning doing Overclock at all. None.
Just playing games like WOW.

Let me know if I'm missing and is my computer solid?

- go for this drive reliable and cost less

- 2 sticks of memory in my opinion is better than 4 also why do you need 16GB as 8GB is plenty for gaming

- 650w psu is plenty

Since I'm new to this so I'm learning, if i fall in love with this computer, I will probally change my mind and want to OC, who knows so that's why i want to stick with K in the future. Hopefully this can run easily in WOW on ultra setting.

Buying a K version might be worth it, if the price difference isn't too much.

When I bought my i5-3570K, I wasn't planning on overclocking. I did some overclocking in the past. Too much hassle, for little gain. But because the price difference between K and non-K was only 10 euros, I decided to buy the K version anyway. You never know.

Now I am playing GW2, which does use the CPU just as much as the GPU. So yesterday I overclocked my i5-3570K from 3.4GHz standard to 4.0GHz. I don't want more heat and noise, so I wanted to make sure my motherboard would not increase voltage. So I put the voltage to a fixed setting of -0.05V. (That kind of relative voltage adjustment is a feature of the Extreme 4 (which by coincendence, I have too)). I am running with the stock cooler.

Today my CPU runs 18% faster, with slightly lower voltage and similar temperatures. And to my surprise, that 18% speed improvement is clearly visible in GW2. I tried Skyrim too, and my fps is notably increased there too. Now I am happy I spent the 10 extra euros in May.

PS. I agree about 8 vs 16GB of ram. I'm pretty sure 8GB is more than enough for gamers in the next 4 years. About the PSU, buying slightly heavier PSU than you need can make sense. You never know if you decide to replace your videocard in 2 years. Also, I believe that the more a PSU stays under max load, the less hot it will be. And thus a heavier PSU will have a slower fan at load. (Might not make a lot of difference if your CPU and GPU fans are load).

Just go for the 3570K version, you might venture into OC'ing later, and besides, it's good to have that feature at your disposal anytime even if you won't need it (for now).

Also for the PSU, 750W may be too much for your setup. 500W would even suffice for that. My rig which is more or less similar as yours in terms of power consumption won't even breach 300W at load (system unit only -PSU connected to an Omni digital power reader).
