hi guys,

just got my new video card and would like to start Overclocking my CPU... the question is how can i get my chip to 4ghz on air meaning what should i adjust in the bios etc, i have a coolermaster cooler with 1 120 mm fan so i think that should do it for cooling for now. also whats a safe voltage for my chip when overclocking?

thanks

You can probably run 4ghz on stock voltage. Just bump the multiplier from 33x to 40x and see what happens.

My 2500K and Gigabyte board ran too hot at 41x, I had to reduce the core voltage to get the temps down below 90C running a 212+.

4 is easy. Should be just set multiplier and go. 5 is the hard one.
