I just finished building my first computer and I wanted to know if my CPU is getting to hot. The idle temperature is 43C and the load temperature is 60C. are these temperatures to hot.

If you want a better answer, you should really give all the details of your setup.

But "no" is correct, generally speaking.

First of all, Welcome to the Anandtech forums 🙂

Please help us by giving some of the details with your testing and measuring methods.

What were the ambients at the time?

How were you testing it?

Thanks, and again welcome to the Anandtech forums

Great temps man.

60c load is excellent.

Intel recommends 50's c to 60's c for load temp. and your right on 60c , That is great.

I don't knkow if you wanna OC your rig, I can help you with that as well.. gl

Theres people out there with 90c or 80c and CPU still going strong.

My 2600K is 62 C at load, 4.4 GHz, 1.33 Vcore. This is a very conservative overclock, nearly silent, using a Noctua NH-D cooler and nine case fans at 5 volts.

So as everyone says, you're fine. If you want to play around with cooling some more, you can turn better cooling into better performance. Or just enjoy your system!

This would be helpful

I got the Corsair h60 for $50 and my temps around 28-30C while general surfing the web ,chatting, etc. Prime95 after 3 hours is around 58-60. Push/Pull setup.

i had a zalman CNPS9900A. General work 30-33C. Prime95 3 hours 64-66C max

both coolers = 2500k/ASUS p67 Sabertooth @ 4.5 1.310V

antec p182 case with one 120mm front intake and i flipped the top fan as intake as well

As a point of reference, at stock voltage / multiplier, my 2500K cores idle between 30-35C. Yesterday I ran Intel Burn Test at the "maximum" setting (took about 1200 seconds to complete five runs) with the specs below, and the cores peaked at 60-61C.
